Today (August 5) is Teachers Day. And on this occasion, our own Hansika is playing a teacher for the first time in her career. Speaking to Sify.com from a small village on the border of Kerala-Tamilnadu, she said: “So far, I have only played cute, bubbly college going girl kinda roles. In my new film, for which I am shooting from today, I play a school teacher and when I released that today is Teachers Day I was thrilled” Hansika drove down to this village near Pollachi where the makers got permission to shoot in a small school. In fact the unit is shooting today and tomorrow as Saturday and Sunday are holidays. Hansika says: “I am extremely happy as I love kids and to play a teacher is something I was looking forward to. I have always been inspired by my teachers in school and to be one in my life even though it is a character, is something that I am going to enjoy. Priya, the teacher that I play is a head strong, very independent girl with lot of scope for performance”. This film is a Tamil remake of Jolly LLB in which Udhayanidhi Stalin is the hero. Prakash Raj, Vivekh and Radha Ravi will be essaying pivotal characters. Ahmed of Endrendrum Punnagai fame is directing this new film and Santhosh Naryanan is the music director.
