Director Thirukumaran recently canned a song on Hansika and Sivakarthikeyan for his Maan Karate in Puducherry, and he says this number will be one of the highlights of the film. Reason? The song is in 'pure' Madras lingo, and Hansika rode as many as five bikes for this number.
The director elaborates, "The situation of the song is the usual one — guy chasing a girl. But we wanted to bring in an interesting element. So, we wrote the entire lyrics in Madras lingo. And, we got Hansika to learn how to drive five different kinds of vehicles — beach rescue bike, American chopper bike, a bike with sidecar, a la Sholay, a tall bike and another 500 cc Bullet. She learnt the nuances of handling these heavy bikes for an hour before we filmed each sequence. This will be a light-hearted song, sure to strike a chord with the youngsters."
A source close to Hansika tells us that she had fun riding such heavy-duty bikes for the song, and that she got a hang of it quickly.
