Hansika, who recently bagged the ‘most popular actress of Kollywood’ award at a recent award ceremony in Dubai, is all set to romance Ravi Teja in her next Telugu film. This is for the first time the bubbly actor would be seen opposite the Mass Maharaja in an entertainer. Confirming the news, Hansika says, “Yes, I’ve signed the film and I’m looking forward to start shooting.” Talking more about her role, the petite actress says, “I can’t reveal much about the character, as it’s premature to comment on it. But all I can say is that my role would be very unique and something that the audience have not seen so far. All this while, I’ve been playing bubbly and chirpy roles. But this time, my role is a performance-oriented one and I’m looking forward to it.”
Writer KS Ravindra (Bobby), who earlier penned films like Balupu, Mr. Perfect, Bodyguard, Don Seenu etc., will be making his directorial debut with this film. The action entertainer is expected to commence shooting shortly.
Apart from signing the Ravi Teja film, Hansika is currently working on three Telugu ventures. She says, “I’m paired opposite Vishnu in a film directed by Srivaas. I will also be sharing screen space with Naga Chaitanya in a film to be directed by Srinivasa Reddy and another movie opposite Nithiin, to be directed by Karunakaran.”
Meanwhile, in Kollywood, Hansika has as many as seven films in her kitty, including Sundar C’s Aranmanai.
